What’s Happening at KTI !

It has been some time since our last newsletter and things are happening at KTI.

We are very happy to announce that, effective September 16^th Julie Kimes (Norm’s daughter) will be rejoining KTI by assuming the leadership role of President. Julie brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in all of our product lines and is well known and well liked by everyone in the industry. Norm and Julie have worked together numerous times in the past. Now, with her seasoned experience, we are looking forward to advancing Kimes Technologies International under her leadership. Norm Kimes will remain active as Chairman of the Board and will handle specific projects for the company.

As many of you know by now we have moved. It seems we outgrew our previous office space rather quickly so we have moved into larger quarters that also accommodates us with a full laboratory. We feel the breathing space and laboratory will help us serve our customer base world wide much more efficiently. Please feel free to visit us at our new location (address and phone numbers below).

Products

We have a great new product introduction to announce.  Kimes Technologies’ SALCAL 2200 is an Overbased Calcium Salicylate that will augment our sulfonate line of products.  Even small amounts of SALCAL 2200 have been shown to improve the rust inhibiting characteristics in a variety of products and should be considered in any coating or lubricant application where enhanced rust and corrosion inhibition is desired.  It also lends antioxidant characteristics and is used as a detergent in marine diesel, two-stroke, and automotive crankcase lubricants.  SALCAL 2200 may be considered for use in conjunction with, or as a replacement for overbased (and other) calcium sulfonates when the presence of sulfur is objectionable.  Samples are readily available so please give us a call if you would like to see how SALCAL 2200 might be useful to you. A lower TBN product, SALCAL 1750, is also available.

Speaking of readily available, samples of our SYNCAL OB405-WO are also readily available.  SYNCAL OB405-WO is an NSF approved 400 TBN calcium sulfonate in a white oil carrier.  It has been specifically designed to convert easily to overbased calcium sulfonate grease for lubricant applications requiring incidental contact, HX-1, category registration.

In conjunction with this website, our email addresses will all be changed to a kimestech.com address.  A list of all new individual email addresses will be circulated soon so please be sure to note the changes.  All current email addresses will remain operational for an interim period of time.

 Distributor Spotlight
