Kimes Technologies offers an integrated line of synthetic sulfonates derived from oleum sulfonation of carefully selected alkylate feedstocks. Compatible components and intermediate products that are especially synergistic with our sulfonates are also offered.

SYNBAR N and SYNBAR OB: Neutral
and overbased barium sulfonates.
SYNCAL N: Neutral Calcium Sulfonates with active calcium sulfonate contents ranging from 25% to 70%.
SYNCAL OB: Overbased Calcium Sulfonates with TBN’s of 300 to 400, including an NSF approved overbased calcium sulfonate, SynCal OB405-WO, designed for use as a grease feed for manufacturing calcium sulfonate greases requiring the HX-1 incidental contact designation.
SYNSUL: synthetic sodium sulfonates with average molecular weights of 410 to 500.
SALCAL: Overbased Calcium Salicylates which are compatible with the sulfonates will augment corrosion inhibition, provide detergency and anti-oxidant characteristics to a variety of lubricants and coatings.
K-OX: Oxidized Hydrocarbons and their metallic soaps will enhance rust and corrosion inhibition of coatings. They are easily incorporated into sulfonate formulations and will aid in solubilizing waxes and petrolatums in a variety of coating formulations.
JALPON INTERMEDIATES: Amorphous, highly overbased precursors for manufacturing high gel strength calcium sulfonate greases and coatings. Available in solvent and oil carriers.
JALPON COMPONENTS: Gelled, ready-to-formulate overbased calcium sulfonate in oil, solvent, and water carriers. A variety of rust and corrosion inhibiting compounds can be formulated from the Jalpon Components including short term indoor to long term outdoor coatings to automotive underbody and frame coatings.
